Marvellous Macke
Oldie but goldie and I won’t miss it! This is one of my favourite artbooks and it’s in my bookcase since several years. “August Macke. Gemälde, Aquarelle, Zeichnungen.“ is a catalog with all his paintings, watercolors and drawings. I was looking out for so many years to get this book. (It’s out of print! And you only get it in well-sorted second hand bookshops. My edition was a present by a lovely person and a colleague in Münster). Well, I have to be honest – I have never read this book! 😀 I visited a lot of August Macke exhibitions, so I don’t want to read his biography for the umpteenth time. Ok, there are a lot of more articles inside, but I’m not interested in them. I love his paintings. That’s enough for me. My favourite one is “Türkisches Café I” or “Türkisches Café II” (both are great). Years…
